Summer Home Tour In Demark

Sometimes, when I'm feeling rather windswept and rain-battered, I take a shine to pictures with glorious blue skies. Here is such an image...but look! There's a gorgeous Modern Country home there just waiting to be explored....well, it would be rude not to, wouldn't it?

Not to grumble about the lack of blue skies around here; yesterday, walking back home from church, I promise you I felt real, actual sunshine! And, anyway, I always think lashing rain and cloudy bleakness make me want to hunker down with blankets, fires blazing and hot mugs of cocoa to hand, and craft my little fingers off...

Oh I love it!! what a great house ! I love the white chair in the corner of that beautiful doorway. I have been crafting away this week as well,,,,cooler weather and some snow on the ground does that for sure! Be sure to stop by my blog and post a comment for a chance to win some handmade cards from me....

Can I ever so gently say that i'm delighted to see a house with some color in it? I know your love for neutrals, but just to see a little green, a dash of red, a smattering of blue - well, it brightened my whole evening. Thanks for this one.

I know what you mean about the leaden skies. When I'm in OXON I'm trading one rainy country for another so I don;t really notice...lol, but when that sun comes out it's just glorious, isn't it?

Fondly,

Love the light, bright, airy look to this sweet home, Sarah! The bedroom ceilings and floors are spectacular! Well, you're not alone with your rainy gray days, sweetie. Winter is knocking on our door and the sun has been hiding her pretty face....

This is my kind of home, I love it. Its light and bright without being too sterile and characterless. I love the country rustic feel, the soft pastels and rustic tones add warmth and texture and make the place feel really inviting. I love the hallway with the silver gilt mirror above a distressed table. The whitewash floorboards are great and i've always had a thing for patchwork quilts - I think it's obvious I like this place :O)
